Witness in Fund-Raising Case Is Expected to Admit to Fraud

A potentially important witness in the criminal case against Hillary Rodham Clinton's former fund-raising director will plead guilty today in an unrelated stock fraud case, according to a lawyer involved with the case. The planned plea, by Peter Paul, a businessman, would mean that he could testify as a witness in the case against David Rosen, the fund-raising director of Mrs. Clinton's senatorial campaign, who is charged with failing to report in-kind contributions and producing a false invoice in connection with an Aug. 12, 2000, fund-raiser for her.
